Day 1     Oslo
Accommodation: Clarion Hotel the Hub
Meals: Dinner

Arrival in Oslo according to your own schedule and transfer on your own to your hotel. Oslo, the capital, is situated at the head of the Oslo Fjord. We recommend a stroll along the harbor, Aker Brygge, with numerous restaurants, sightseeing boats offering guided tours on the Oslofjord, etc.

Your tour escort will meet you at 7.50pm (before dinner) in the hotel lobby, where you’ll also meet your fellow travelers.

Dinner and accommodation at Clarion Hotel The Hub, centrally located close to the Karl Johan shopping boulevard.

 
Day 2     Oslo - Geilo - Hardangerfjord - Ulvik
Accommodation: Brakanes Hotel
Meals: Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner

After breakfast departure from Oslo, driving via HĂžnefoss along the charming Halling Valley to the tourist resort town of Geilo. Lunch in Geilo.

Cross the wild Hardanger Mountain Plateau to Fossli, stopping to view the thundering VÞringsfoss Waterfall with a vertical drop of 180 m. Descend the amazing MÄbÞdal Canyon to the idyllic Hardanger Fjord. Cross the Hardanger Bridge, followed by drive along the Ulvik Fjord, a branch of the Hardanger Fjord, to the picturesque village of Ulvik.

Day 3     Ulvik - Hardangerfjord - Bergen
Accommodation: Clarion Hotel Admiral

A fter breakfast, start of scenic tour along the beautiful Hardanger Fjord, famous for its many fruit orchards, via the towns of Øystese and Norheimsund, arriving in Bergen around midday. Afternoon 2 hours city sightseeing in Bergen with a local guide, including a visit to the popular Fish and Flower Market, the famous Bryggen Harbour with its gabled packhouses, and the old Hanseatic Quarter.

Day 4     Bergen - Flam - Stalheim - Balestrand
Accommodation: Kvikne Hotel
Meals: Breakfast / Dinner

After breakfast, drive to Voss and board the train for an excursion on the spectacular FlÄm Railway, one of the most beautiful and steepest standard-gauge railway lines in the world. Departure on board an eco-friendly ship for a fjord cruise on the narrow and spectacular NÊrÞyfjord from FlÄm to Gudvangen. This area has been judged one of the most beautiful fjord landscapes in the world and is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Continue by coach through the amazing Stalheim Canyon and NÊrÞy Valley, across the Vika Mountains to Vangsnes, for the short ferry crossing to the beautiful resort of Balestrand.

Dinner and accommodation at Kvikne’s Hotel, superbly located on the banks of the fjord and surrounded by mountains.

 
Day 5     Balestrand
Accommodation: Kvikne Hotel
Meals: Breakfast / Dinner

Day free in Balestrand, giving you the opportunity to enjoy the outstanding beauty and nature of the fjords. The day starts with a traditional Norwegian buffet breakfast in the hotel’s elegant dining room.

You may want to spend the morning relaxing on the hotel terrace, breathing in the fresh mountain air and enjoying the spectacular views.

We can also recommend a visit to the local aquarium and art gallery, or you may prefer to rent a bike or rowing boat from the hotel, or even go on foot up to the nearest mountains. A walking tour of the village of Balestrand, with its historic buildings and other interesting sites can also be arranged.

 
Day 6     Balestrand - Skei I Joelster - Nordfjord - Geiranger
Accommodation: Union Hotel
Meals: Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner

After breakfast departure from your hotel by ferry from Dragsvik to Hella, followed by a scenic tour along the northern side of the Sogn Fjord and further north to Fjérland, passing under the Jostedal Glacier, the largest in Europe. Descend to the beautiful Nord Fjord, making a detour at Olden to visit the world-famous Briksdal Glacier. The journey up to the glacier will be made in open cars – “Troll cars” - to give you the best views. Afterwards a typical Norwegian lunch will be served in sight of the glacier. Continue by coach via Loen and Stryn, to the picturesque village of Hellesylt, for a cruise to Geiranger. The Geirangerfjord is one of the most famous fjords in the world and has been a part of the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2005. Surrounded by deep blue water and green valleys, you will also experience magnificent waterfalls such as the "Seven Sisters" and the "Bridal Veil".

Day 7     Geiranger - Lom - Lillehammer - Oslo
Accommodation: Clarion Hotel the Hub
Meals: Breakfast / Dinner

After breakfast discover the roads that twist and turn through one hairpin bend after another to Geiranger Skywalk - Mt. Dalsnibba - to experience a panoramic view of one of the most scenically outstanding fjord area on the planet (weather permitting). Your journey continues across the rugged Grotli Mountains to Lom, well known for its 14th century stave church. Continue via Lake VĂ„gĂ„, before descending the magnificent Gudbrands Valley to the popular tourist town of Lillehammer. Drive alongside Lake MjĂžsa, Norway’s largest lake, and arrive in Oslo, the capital, situated at the head of the Oslo Fjord.

 
Day 8     Oslo
Meals: Breakfast

Buffet breakfast at your hotel. Depending on your own schedule, if you have time free in the morning, we recommend a stroll through the new central city district Bjþrvika and walk between Oslo’s latest architectural additions; the Deichman Library and Munch Museum. Transfer on your own to Oslo Gardermoen Airport in connection with your flight home.
