The Kon-Tiki Museum is dedicated to the famous Norwegian explorer Thor Heyerdahl and his expeditions. The museum houses the Kon-Tiki raft, which Heyerdahl used for his 1947 expedition across the Pacific Ocean from South America to the Polynesian islands. Heyerdahl's journey on the Kon-Tiki demonstrated that prehistoric people could have traveled across vast oceanic distances and potentially influenced the cultures of different islands.

In addition to the Kon-Tiki raft, the museum also displays other vessels and artifacts from Heyerdahl's expeditions, including the Ra II, used to sail across the Atlantic Ocean, and exhibits related to Easter Island and other Polynesian cultures. The museum provides a fascinating insight into the history of exploration and adventure. The Fram Museum is dedicated to the polar exploration vessel Fram, which was used by Norwegian explorers Fridtjof Nansen, Otto Sverdrup, and Roald Amundsen in their expeditions to the Arctic and Antarctic regions during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The Fram was specially designed to withstand the pressure of the ice and was used in some of the most significant polar expeditions in history.
