International media is constantly writing about Oslo’s innovative architecture, museums, and neighborhoods, as well as everything that moves on the food, fashion, art, and music scenes. Over the last few years, several new quarters have been established in the city center, with exciting new activities and attractions. The Opera House, the new Munch Museum and the new National Museum are all well worth a visit!. Arrival and self-transfer to the hotel. Breakfast at your hotel. Morning: Get ready for a guided public sightseeing tour of Oslo - Oslo Panorama Tour – 3 hours An excellent choice to discover Oslo's highlights from a modern coach and with a local guide, even if you're short on time! Learn about the city’s history and culture, admire the main attractions in the city center and spectacular views from Holmenkollen Hill and experience a fascinating insight into the art of the most prolific Norwegian sculptor, Gustav Vigeland, as you walk through the unique Sculpture Park comprising more than 200 sculptures in bronze and granite. Train from Oslo to Myrdal. Your train is ready for boarding 20 minutes prior. The Bergen Railway is a unique experience on Northern Europe's highest-altitude railway line. One of the greatest challenges is the harsh and changeable weather. The line is exposed to deep low-pressure centers from the west, which can mean strong winds and heavy snow for part of the year. Keeping the railway open demands great effort and technical expertise. Change train at Myrdal – just across the platform! Mountain Railway down to Flåm and the Sognefjord. The Flåm Railway has been named one of the most beautiful train journeys in the world, and is one of the leading tourist attractions in Norway. The train runs from the end of Aurlandsfjord, a tributary of the Sognefjord, up to the high mountains at Myrdal station. The journey displays the very best aspects of Western Norway`s stunning scenery. Afternoon: Arrive Flåm and walk down to your hotel, located a short walk from the arriving point. Beautiful Flåm is situated in the innermost part of the Aurlandsfjord, a tributary of the 204 kilometers long and up to 1308 meters deep Sognefjord. Surrounded by steep mountainsides, roaring waterfalls and deep valleys, Flåm is a paradise for everyone looking for a one-of-a-kind experience with nature. Breakfast. This day – get ready for some fun on the fjord! Enjoy Winter Fjord Safari and then in the afternoon Snowshoe Hiking. Dinner and overnight at Flamsbrygga Hotel. WINTER FJORDSAFARI TASTE- Enjoy the breathtaking views of the Aurlandsfjord and the UNESCO listed Nærøyfjord, the Winter Taste version includes an extra special treat: a guided tasting of award-winning local goat cheese! Join us for a winter adventure through the stunning Norwegian fjords! On this 2.5-hour safari, we’ll explore the Aurlandsfjord and the UNESCO-listed Nærøyfjord, surrounded by snow-covered peaks and frozen waterfalls. Enjoy the stunning scenery while the guide shares fascinating stories about the fjords and their history. Our turning point is Styvi, and on the return journey, we’ll make a stop in the charming little village of Undredal. Here our local host will introduce you to life in this small village, renowned for its delicious goat cheese. Warm up with a hot drink and enjoy a guided cheese tasting. It is possible to purchase the goat cheese in Undredal after the tasting. We are happy to support the local community in Undredal. By collaborating with local businesses and preserving old traditions like the production of goat cheese, we aim to help keep life around the fjords vibrant and thriving. Important: We will provide you with all the necessary gear for a safe and comfortable experience on the fjords. This includes floatation suit, life vest, hat, gloves, and goggles. Please dress warmly, as temperatures on the fjord can be quite cold during the winter months. Optional (need to be booked in advance): FJORD SAUNA Let your guests chill out after a day filled with activities in a steaming hot sauna that is centrally located at the quay in Flam. Relaxation in Fjord Sauna, refreshing dip in the Aurlandsfjord in combination with spectacular fjord and mountain scenery in a noise-free environment makes this experience outstanding! Afternoon: After arrival back in Flåm it is time to enjoy a 5-course true Viking Dinner at Ægir BrewPub. – Dinner is served from 18:00 to 20:00 Continue your evening with dinner at the Ægir Brewpub. Dinner includes smoked reindeer, shellfish, fish and shellfish soup, pork shank and dark chocolate ganache cake. You will be served 5 beers for your meal, one for each type of food. This package is a perfect way to experience the fjords and food of Norway in cozy surroundings. Breakfast at the hotel. Morning: Walk down to the pier in Flåm where you board the boat which takes you to Aurlandsfjord and the UNESCO protected Nærøyfjord. The Aurlandsfjord is a picturesque fjord where you can enjoy the view, while the fjord of Nærøy is one of Europe’s most narrow fjords surrounded by enormous mountains. Please meet up at least 15 min. before departure. Boat departure from Flåm Arrive in Gudvangen Leave the boat and enter the awaiting bus for transfer to Voss. Bus departure Gudvangen. Arrive Voss station, and make your way to the train bound for Bergen. Train departure to Bergen. Arrive in Bergen and walk to the hotel. Enjoy breakfast – spend a day in the colorful city of Bergen. Day at leisure, visit the Mount Fløyen via the Fløibanen, visit the Bergen Aquarium amongst more. Overnight and breakfast at Grand Hotel Terminus.
