Arrival to Ivalo Airport and regular transfer to the hotel for check-in. In Saariselka, in the far north of Finnish Lapland, lies the popular resort of Inari-Saariselka. The unique northern countryside, national parks, lake areas, rivers and highland fells offer a wealth of opportunities for year-round travel. In winter, the Northern Lights dance across the sky up to 200 days a year. The legendary Saariselka is the northernmost travel destination in Finland and boasts a variety of services. In Inari and other villages in the area, the Sami culture is still very much in evidence in everyday life. Here is where you find the genuine Lapland. In the morning, get ready for some fresh air activity literally following the footsteps of the Sami.

DURATION: approximately 1 hour 30 minutes

Put on your snowshoes and feel the crunch of snow under your feet. Capture the true feeling of winter in the northern woods as you explore the nearby white wilderness of forest and hills and Urho Kekkonen National Park, surrounding Saariselka. The afternoon is at leisure and we recommend trying a Finnish sauna, available at the hotel.

AURORA HUNTING ON HEATED SLED INCLUDED

The silent snow-covered forest, the solitary hill at the edge of the Arctic vastness, and the magical Northern Lights dancing above you. Sit back in the heated sleigh and let yourself be carried away by a truly unforgettable experience. Driven by your guide on a snowmobile, the sleigh glides across the snowy landscape, bathed in the light of the moon and stars, all the way to the top of the hill—far from any light pollution.Upon arrival, we get our cameras ready to capture the spectacle of the Arctic sky. Comfortably gathered around the campfire, we enjoy warm drinks and listen to fascinating stories while waiting for the Northern Lights to appear.And then, as the first glow emerges, your only limit will be your imagination: the Northern Lights dance across the sky, the constellations shine brightly, and the snow-covered trees create a scene of pure magic and wonder

 
Day 3     Rovaniemi

In the morning after breakfast, the adventure continues as we make our way to Rovaniemi. Along the way, we will visit one of the highlights of the tour.

SAMI REINDEER FARM VISIT & SLEIGH RIDEINCLUDED

DURATION : approximately 2 hours 30 minutes (11:30-14:00)

INCLUDED: a traditional 3-course lunch

Meet a traditional Sami host, who will share stories about their culture, the reindeer, and the vital role these animals play in their way of life. In two-person sleighs, enjoy a short but enchanting ride (approximately 400 meters) pulled by reindeer—a peaceful, authentic way to glide through the snowy landscape, crossing frozen lakes and silent forests, where the only sound is the gentle jingle of the reindeer bells.During the visit to the farm, a traditional two-course lunch will be served, prepared with local flavors and rich in heritage.

The journey continues south along picturesque paths that wind through the snow-covered forest until you reach the Arctic Circle, where you will check in to your exclusive private Glass Igloo.Enjoy the warmth and comfort of your Glass Igloo and, weather permitting, be mesmerized by the stunning Northern Lights and the glow of millions of stars illuminating the Arctic night—all from the comfort of your bed.In the evening, we invite you to savor a three-course dinner, the perfect finale to an unforgettable day in Lapland.

Fire and ice, darkness and light, snow, music, and dance blend harmoniously to create a captivating atmosphere, perfect for enjoying with the whole family.Mysterious shamans enhance the magic of the night, and as midnight approaches, Santa Claus will make an appearance to share this special moment. A huge snow disco, ice bars, impressive fireworks, and a spectacular dance show will turn this evening into a truly unforgettable experience.According to Finnish tradition, the tin-can throwing is an ancient New Year’s ritual to predict what the future holds. Breakfast and dinner at the hotel. Today, we’ll journey to the charming city of Kemi, where a day filled with exciting and unforgettable experiences awaits.

ICEBREAKER SAMPO, FLOATING IN THE ICE-COLD SEA & LUNCH INCLUDED

APPROXIMATE DURATION: 1:30PM–5:00 PM

This extraordinary experience includes a guided tour aboard the icebreaker, where you will have the opportunity to explore the engine room and the bridge.In the middle of the vast ice field of the Gulf of Bothnia —the largest in Europe —you will experience an unforgettable moment: immersing yourself in the icy sea and floating on its waters.A specially designed thermal suit will be provided for this activity, and those who dare to participate will receive an official certificate signed by the ship’s authorities as a memento of this unique experience.If weather conditions allow, it will also be possible to walk on the frozen sea and admire the majestic icebreaker from there —perfect for capturing spectacular photos.Lunch is included on board. Return to Rovaniemi in the late afternoon.Please note that, for safety reasons, participants must be at least 140 cm tall to join this activity.
