It all begins in the fairytale capital, Copenhagen, then experience the Viking capital, Oslo, before ending in the enchanting and elegant capital of Sweden, Stockholm. Along the way you will be witness to the spectacular mountains and magnificent fjords of Norway, and the fascinating capitals with their cobble-stoned streets, palaces and canals.

This tour is bi-lingual.


Day 1     Copenhagen
Accommodation: Skt. Petri Hotel

Arrival to Copenhagen Airport, meet & greet by English-speaking representative, for Regular Arrival Transfer Service to the hotel for check-in (Please see notes below for this service). Please consult the welcome letter which you will receive on check-in to your hotel, and kindly note where and when to meet your tour leader. A short welcome meeting will be held at 7.00pm where you will receive information on the upcoming tour program while enjoying a welcome drink.The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 2     Copenhagen
Accommodation: Skt. Petri Hotel
Meals: Breakfast

Breakfast at your hotel. This morning you will depart by private coach with your local English-speaking guide for a 3-hour city sightseeing tour. This tour will be the perfect introduction to "Wonderful Copenhagen". We start with a drive towards the City Hall Square where the famous pedestrian street "Stroget" begins. We pass the Tivoli Gardens, dating back to 1843 and onwards past the New Carlsberg Glyptotheque and the National Museum. Next it is the Old Stock Exchange and the Naval Church. We drive past the Kings New Square, the home of the Royal Danish Theatre with the world famous ballet, then through the old canal area, Nyhavn, with its picturesque houses and vessels. We continue on to see the impressive Gefion Fountain and then make a photo stop at the Royal residence, Amalienborg Palace. Finally we stop by the landmark of Copenhagen, the statue of the Little Mermaid, known from Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale. During the tour we shall also appreciate the Christiansborg Palace, housing the Danish Parliament and the Rosenborg Castle which houses the Crown Jewels. The tour will end at the hotel.

Day 3     Copenhagen - Oslo
Accommodation: Overnight Ferry, Copenhagen - Oslo
Meals: Breakfast / Dinner

After breakfast, your morning is at leisure. In the afternoon you will be transferred to the pier by private coach to embark the DFDS Seaways overnight ferry. At 4:30pm, departure to Oslo. Buffet dinner will be served on board. Overnight: Outside cabin (Commodore Class) on DFDS Seaways (Commodore Class cabins are with Queen size beds. Clients requesting Twin beds will be accommodated in Outside 2 berth cabins – not Commodore Class. Breakfast is however still provided in Commodore class.

NOTE: Passports must be shown when travelling between Denmark and Norway on the DFDS ferry. Clients travellingwith E.U. identification cards only may not be allowed on-board

Day 4     Oslo - Geilo - Hardangerfjord - Lofthus
Accommodation: Ullensvang Hotel
Meals: Breakfast / Dinner

Breakfast on board. Arrival to Oslo at 9:45am, after disembarkation we board our private coach. We drive across Hønefoss, Nesbyen, surrounded by a landscape which alternates with forests of pines and lakes, we arrive in the beautiful Hallingdal Valley. Just a few kilometres away, we will visit Gol followed by Geilo, a small town

surrounded by mountains and famous for its Ski resorts. We will drive to the impressive Hardanger fjord, where we arrive at Lofthus, one of Edvard Grieg's favorite haunts, and one of the most beautiful points of the fjord. Dinner at your hotel. Fjord View room

Day 5     Lofthus - Hardangerfjord - Bergen
Accommodation: Bergen Bors Hotel
Meals: Breakfast

Breakfast at your hotel. Depart Lofthus and travel to back along the fjord until reaching Brimnes where you will cross the splendid Hardanger fjord, by travelling across the newly opened Hardanger Bridge. The Hardanger Bridge has one of the longest suspension bridge spans in the world, and the longest in Norway. After reaching the other side, Bruravik, you we will continue by coach, bordering the fjord, passing by Nordheimsund and crossing forests of birches until we arrive in Bergen. Bergen is the capital of the fjords, Norway’s second largest city and one of three university towns of Norway. In the afternoon meet your guide for a 2 hour sighttseeing tour during which we will appreciate St. Marys Church, Haakon’s Hall (no entrances), the colorful and picturesque fish markets and the old Bryggen area. Evening is at leisure.

Day 6     Bergen - Voss - Flam - Loen
Accommodation: Alexandra Hotel
Meals: Breakfast / Dinner

Breakfast at the hotel. Early morning departure from Bergen and travel to the historic town of Voss, with a stunning background of snow clad mountains. Here we board a train,which will take us across the mountain plateau to Myrdal where we change to the World famous Flam railway, the highlight of the day. Experience one of the most spectacular rail journeys, descending down from the Mountain station of Myrdal to the quaint fjord village of Flam. Here we have some free time before embarking onto the afternoon ferry, which will carry us on a breath-taking crossing along the Aurland & Neroy fjords, which are branches of the Sognefjord, the longest and deepest fjord in Norway. The coast offers very strong contrasts, sometimes you will experience rocks falling dramatically into the fjord while other stretches of the river turn into a wonderful green. Disembarkation in Gudvangen and continuation in coach, through one of the largest tunnels of Norway. We continue our journey through Lærdal and Skei until we reach Loen, beautifully situated between mountains, lakes and fjords. Dinner and overnight at the prestigious hotel Alexandra. Fjord view room.

Day 7     Loen - Briksdal - Geiranger

OPTIONAL EXCURSION ($80 per person): Briksdal Glacier, an arm of Europe’s largest Glacier Jostedalsbreen. After arriving at Briksdal Glacier, we will make a visit to the foot of the glacier, travelling by small motorized “Troll cars” and walking through Norwegian nature to the very snout of the glacier. Here we experience the glacier’s breathtaking blue ice. After the visit, there will be free time for lunch atyour own discretion.THIS EXCURSION MUST BE PRE-BOOKED WITH TRAVEL BOOKING TO ENSURE ITS IMPLEMENTATION.

Passengers not joining the optional excursion, who prefer to enjoy the hotel and its facilities, will be picked up at around 16:00.We leave Loen and continue our journey throughthe wonderful Norwegian mountains to the famous point of Dalsnibba, an observation point located 1.476 meters above sea level, with a spectacular view of the famous Geiranger Fjord, UNESCO World Heritage. (The visit to Dalsnibba is subject to climate permission -cannot be guaranteed). Once our visit to Dalsnibba is finished, we continue our journey downward to Geiranger for check-in at our hotel. Before dinner,a special tour of the Veteran car collection of The Mjelva family is offered. A number of these beautiful cars were used to show tourists around the Geiranger area in the 1920’s and 1930’s and they are still in excellent condition.Dinner at the hotel is included. Day 8     Geiranger
Accommodation: Union Hotel

Breakfast at the hotel. This morning we will take theferry, crossing the dramatic and ever so impressive, UNESCO’s World Heritage listed, Geiranger Fjord, situated amongst lush mountains and wild waterfalls. Travel from Geiranger to Hellesylt and be inspired by this beautiful unspoiled landscape. After disembarking in Hellesylt, we travel north to Trollstigen or Troll’s path, one of the most dramatic and visited areas in Norway. Travel the 11 hairpin turns on this stunning stretch of road that winds its way along just over 100km of incredible landscape (Weather permitting as road closures can occur). Lunch stop in-route (not included).In the late afternoon, we arrive back at the hotel. Dinner at the hotel is included

Day 9     Geiranger - Oslo
Accommodation: Continental Hotel
Meals: Breakfast

Breakfast at your hotel. Early morning departure by coach to the capital Oslo. We travel via Lom, where we can admire the oldest wooden church in Norway, which dates from the 12th Century. We will continue, via Otta, leaving the fjords area of Central Norway, which is characterized by mountains and lakes and which is the

major attraction in the country. Late in the afternoon we will arrive in Oslo and check-in to our hotel.

Day 10     Oslo
Accommodation: Continental Hotel
Meals: Breakfast

After breakfast, we will embark on a 3-hour city sightseeing tour in the Norwegian Capital, beautifully situated by the fjord. We will enjoy the view from the Opera house before heading off to Bygdoy Island, where we will visit the Viking Ship Museum (entrance included), with its three Viking vessels. The Vigeland Park, one of the major Scandinavian cultural treasures, will welcome us with sculptures by Gustav Vigeland, who dedicated his life to his artistic works. We will pass by the Royal Palace and the main street, Karl Johan. Free afternoon.

Day 11     Oslo - Stockholm
Accommodation: At Six Hotel
Meals: Breakfast

Breakfast at your hotel. Depart Oslo and travel (by coach or train) to Stockholm, passing through Norwegian and Swedish forests, and through the region of Varmland, the home of many legends. Late afternoon arrival to Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, for check-in to your hotel.

Day 12     Stockholm
Accommodation: At Six Hotel

Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for a 3-hour city sightseeing tour.The city of Stockholm, often called “Beauty on Water”, is built on 14 islands and connected by 57 bridges. The sightseeing tour includes a walk in the Old Town, and visits to the city's symbols,here included the City Hall -with its Blue and Golden Halls, where the Nobel festivities take place every year.Feel the medieval atmosphere of the Old Town with its Cathedral as well as Stortorget,where the Stockholm Blood Bath took place. The afternoon is at leisure.

OPTIONAL EXCURSION: VASA MUSEUM ($70 per person) following regular sightseeing, Scandinavia’s top museum built around the only intact 17th century warship Following the city tour visit the Swedish warship, Vasa, considered as one of the world's largest and the pride of the mighty Swedish navy. The Museum was built around the 17th century warship, which sank in Stockholm's inner harbor on her maiden voyage in 1628; its discovery in 1956 and subsequent salvage in 1961 is one of the most important events in marine archaeology. Painstakingly restored to its original magnificence, the Vasa represents an authentic piece of living history.
