Norge Hotel

Historic Hotels Of Norway

Welcome to Lillesand and Hotel Norge. There has been a hotel in these beautiful buildings since 1873. Owners, clientele and style have all changed over the years, but since the last renovation in 1993-95, the hotel has resumed more of its original style. The conversion process was painstaking and difficult, but when the hotel was finished, we had achieved what we were looking for: a hotel we can be proud of.

Our guests thrive in the historic surroundings, while still appreciating the modern comforts. We have put great emphasis on retaining a high degree of personal service and have a highly trained staff.

Location

The landscape of Lillesand is the nation's finest. Enjoy our old harbours, pretty summer houses, sheltered islets and fascinating islands. The islands offer not only beautiful scenery, but all have a fascinating history to tell. Even the town seems to be designed to provide you with memories - summer and winter. The houses are incredibly beautiful and the atmosphere relaxed and idyllic. All summer long boating folk visit the area. Tourists and conference delegates marvel at the town and the surrounding countryside - all year round.

Take a stroll through the streets, to Sandra Svendsens house of 1723. Visit the town museum with its unique collection of tools, household utensils and furniture, the customs house and the town hall. You will almost belive that time has stood still.
