Britannia Hotel

The Britannia Hotel, which opened in 1897, was Trondheims first great luxury hotel, and it has been synonymous with the very highest standards of service, comfort and cuisine ever since.

Even though the hotels elegant façade and stylish interior may recall a bygone age of travel, The Britannia Hotel is very much a modern hotel offering all the facilities expected by the modern-day business traveller or tourist in an atmosphere of gracious style and traditional hospitality.

The hotel houses three restaurants, Palmehaven (The Palm Court) being the most famous, private dining suites, two bars and an «English Pub».

Location

Britannia Hotel, the largest and most distinguished hotel and restaurant complex in Trondheim, is in a perfect location in the centre of the citys business and shopping areas. With its beautiful baroque façade overlooking Dronningens gate (Queens street), the hotel is a living monument to the first great era of tourism in Trondheim.

The airport coach service stops right outside the hotels main entrance. The hotel is very close to trains and buses, and the many attractions of Trondheim.

Trouser press, mini-bar, hairdryer, radio and cable-TV are standard in all rooms. Many also have ironing facilities and a Jacuzzi. A number of the rooms have got an ISDN connection.

Approximately half of the rooms are for non-smokers and have laminated wooden floors.
