ItineraryArrival in Stockholm according to your own schedule and transfer on your own to your hotel. Stockholm is beautifully situated on the water, with numerous canals and a picturesque old town. Your tour escort will meet you at 7.50pm (before dinner) in the hotel lobby, where you’ll also meet your fellow travellers. Visit Helsinki in the morning during a 3 hours city sightseeing with local guide. Sights of interest are the Sibelius Monument and Park, the Senate Square and the Cathedral (no entrances included). Afternoon free for shopping or exploring this bustling city on the Baltic. Transfer by private coach to the pier for embarkation on the Tallink Silja Line ferry for an overnight cruise to Stockholm. Transfer by private coach to the railway station in Stockholm. Board the SJ train which will take you to Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark. Bed and Breakfast accommodation at Copenhagen Admiral Hotel After breakfast, morning free in Copenhagen for shopping and sightseeing. We recommend a guided boat tour on the canal. Afternoon transfer by private coach to DFDS Seaways terminal for your overnight cruise to Oslo, departing at approx. 3.00pm. We recommend bringing an overnight bag for this cruise, to avoid having to carry suitcases to and from the cabin. Luggage can easily be stored in luggage container before boarding (coach will stop right by the container). Enjoy dinner on board as you cruise gently north between Denmark and Sweden on your way to Oslo. Explore Oslo on a 3 hours city sightseeing tour with a local guide and enjoy panoramic views of the Opera house, Karl Johans gate – Oslo’s main street, Old town Christiania, Akershus Castle and Fortress, and the Royal Palace. Picturesque ride through some of Oslo’s prettiest neighborhoods to the Vigeland Park (entrance free of charge) with its more than 200 sculptures. Entrance is included to the Norwegian Folk Museum, an open air museum with 160 historic buildings with a main attraction being the Gol Stave Church from around 1200. They also have indoor exhibitions which feature Norwegian folk costumes, folk art, church art and Sami culture. Afternoon free in Oslo. Oslo is a great choice to experience architecture, museums and other attractions. Take a stroll through the new central city district Bjørvika and walk between Oslo’s latest architectural additions; the Deichman Library and Munch Museum. We also recommend a stroll along Aker Brygge, a lively pier with numerous restaurants and departures for sightseeing boats on the Oslofjord. A farewell drink will be served at your hotel at 6.00pm, before you have dinner on your own. Hotel accommodation at Thon Hotel Bristol, located in the city center. After breakfast enjoy a panoramic tour of Oslo, including entrance to the Fram Museum, before driving via Hønefoss along the charming Halling Valley to the tourist resort town of Gol. Lunch in Gol. Cross the wild Hardanger Mountain Plateau to Fossli, stopping to view the thundering Vøringsfoss Waterfall with a vertical drop of 180 m. Descend the amazing Måbødal Canyon to the idyllic Hardanger Fjord. Cross the Hardanger Bridge, followed by a short drive along the Ulvik Fjord, a branch of the Hardanger Fjord, to the picturesque village of Ulvik. Dinner and accommodation in rooms with fjord view at Brakanes Hotel, ideally located on the banks of the fjord. After breakfast, scenic tour along the beautiful Hardanger Fjord, famous for its many fruit orchards, via the towns of Øystese and Norheimsund, arriving in Bergen around midday. After breakfast, departure via Voss to Flåm where you’ll board the train for an excursion on the spectacular Flåm Railway, one of the most beautiful and steepest standard-gauge railway lines in the world. Departure on board an eco-friendly ship for a fjord cruise on the narrow and spectacular Nærøyfjord from Flåm to Gudvangen. Surrounded by steep valley sides and snow-covered peaks, thundering waterfalls and picturesque villages, this area has been judged one of the most beautiful fjord landscapes in the world and is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Continue by coach through the amazing Stalheim Canyon and Nærøy Valley, across the Vika Mountains to Vangsnes, for the short ferry crossing to the beautiful resort of Balestrand. Day free in Balestrand, giving you the opportunity to enjoy the outstanding beauty and nature of the fjords. The day starts with a traditional Norwegian buffet breakfast in the hotel’s elegant dining room. You may want to spend the morning relaxing on the hotel terrace, breathing in the fresh mountain air and enjoying the spectacular views. We can also recommend a visit to the local aquarium and art gallery, or you may prefer to rent a bike or rowing boat from the hotel, or even go on foot up to the nearest mountains. A walking tour of the village of Balestrand, with its historic buildings and other interesting sites can also be arranged. Dinner and accommodation at Kvikne’s Hotel After breakfast departure from your hotel by ferry from Dragsvik to Hella, followed by a scenic tour along the northern side of the Sogn Fjord to Sogndal. The tour continues by road to Fjærland, passing under the Jostedal Glacier, the largest in Europe, to the village of Skei at the northern end of beautiful Lake Jølster. Descend to the Nord Fjord, making a detour at Olden to visit the world-famous Briksdal Glacier. The journey up to the glacier will be made in open cars – “Troll cars” - and takes you to the stand about 700 m away from the glacier. You will have a nice walk to the glacier, before returning by Troll cars. After lunch at a local restaurant, continue by coach to Hellesylt. Enjoy a cruise on the Geirangerfjord, one of the narrowest fjords in Norway, from Hellesylt to Geiranger. The Geirangerfjord is one of the most famous fjords in the world and has been a part of the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2005. Surrounded by deep blue water and green valleys, you will also experience magnificent waterfalls such as the "Seven Sisters" and the "Bridal Veil". Dalsnibba - to experience a panoramic view of one of the most scenically outstanding fjord areas on the planet (weather permitting). Your journey continues across the rugged Grotli Mountains to Lom, well known for its 14th century stave church. Continue via Lake Vågå, before descending the magnificent Gudbrands Valley to the popular tourist town of Lillehammer.
