Dear Ulla,
Just wanted to let you know that we had a great vacation including our independent tour of Copenhagen and Norway.
All the vouchers were handed to us at the hotels where we stayed and we had no problems using them. The trains were on time and comfortable. We had no problems finding our seats or finding the trains in any of the stations. The fast ferries were great
All hotels were very easy to find and we had no trouble with any of the arrangements. The personnel in the hotels were very helpful. The buffets were outstanding, especially in Balestrand.
Even the weather was cooperating. We had some light rain when we travelled, but in Copenhagen, Oslo and Bergen we had bright sunshine.
In short, this was a wonderful experience and we want to thank you for making this trip possible. And the scenery was much more impressive in real life than on pictures we saw before the trip.
Thank you for your help in making the arrangements.

Hello Ulla...
Have a few minutes to catch up on emails.
We are at the wonderful Kviknes Hotel in Balestrand. Everything about our fjord adventure has been perfect......including the weather!
The scenery is beyond description. The trains and ferries very satisfactory, including the food on the train. Smorgasbord at the hotel last night was the best ever! Scandinavian people are so gracious, polite and helpful.
We couldn't have done this without your assistance. I'll let you know about Bergen. We will take a walking tour around Balestrand this afternoon before boarding the ferry.
Our room at the hotel looks out to the water and mountains. I don't know if you requested water front rooms for us in the original building, but we asked to stay in the older part and our views are breathtaking.

I want to thank you for your advice for my trip to Norway.
The hotels were perfectly placed for my independent travel,
just walking and wheeling my little carry-on! I did so enjoy
not only the train to Bergen, but being able to take the
train from the airport. And of course I enjoyed seeing
a bit of Norway, its beauty with the fjords as well as Oslo
and Bergen.
So, I again thank you for all your help!

The trip was great! I will go by city by city:
Bergen - raining, known to rain!
Great walking city
Went up the vernacular to
Did the sights - on and off bus
Augustin - very nice hotel, great breakfast buffet
Norway in a Nutshell - great day - it rained which made the waterfalls much better!
It can be done in one day easily. Not much to do in Flam - so I'm glad we did the one day.
Cruise- Very comfortable rooms, Julia and Kk were booked in rooms 2 decks below, but
they loved the independence! The cruise was beautiful up through the fjords. One day was perfect on the boat with 2 children. There is not a lot to do on the boat for kids - it felt the cruise was more for seniors, which was the majority. Food ok - it was a very Norwegian fare - not for me or kids! But we managed!
Trondheim - Hotel Rica - beautiful spot on river. Nice location to restaurants.
Went on 2 hour tour bus of city, no on and off bus. Very pretty city.
The hotel told us about the new largest indoor pool in Norway. It was a 5 minute walk from the hotel. It was fantastic.
Train to Lillehammer

Clarion Hamar is a nice hotel
Beautiful walking city - pedestrian walkway runs through town
Olympic museum - great! Bobsled and ski run simulator was great fun.
We did get out to the wheeled bob. The girls loved it, i tolerated 70 seconds
of sheer terror!
The taxi was about 30.00 to get there and then back again. They called a
taxi for us at the museum and the bob sled park.
Onto to Oslo Almost missed bus. - due to my brain freeze of the 24 hour clock. We watched
our train pull in on the other side of tracks - and then I realized my error! We made it some how!
Went on and off bus lot the major sites in Oslo. The new Opera House is fabulous and we got to view it all the time.
Took train to airport on our way out.
The hotels were great and the train arrangement were perfect. I made all the
connections and it was the right amount time in each city.
The weather was with us when we needed it to be. It was great to be out of
our heat wave and in spring like weather.
