Neko Harbor was first discovered by Adrien de Gerlaches Belgian expedition of 1897-99. The name of the harbor comes from a Norwegian floating whaling factory ship. The ship, Neko, operated in the harbor for many of the seasons between 1911 and 1924. This is an opportunity to walk on the Antarctic continent
