Itinerary

Day 1
Visiting: Helsinki - St. Petersburg
Accomodation: Dostoevsky Hotel
Meals: Breakfast/Lunch
Depart Helsinki at 7:00 am on Finnish train Sibelius to St. Petersburg. Upon arrival at 2.05 pm, meet your tour guide and enjoy a panoramic city tour featuring the major highlights. Overnight at central Hotel Dostoyevsky. Your local guide can suggest evening activities, performances or shows. (In 2010, lunch at local restaurant and visit to Peter and Paul Fortress).
Day 2
Visiting: St. Petersburg
Accomodation: Dostoevsky Hotel
Meals: Breakfast
After breakfast, experience a a comprehensive visit to the Hermitage Museum, and its remarkable art collection. Following lunch at a local restaurant, a visit to St. Isaac's Cathedral is planned. This is the largest cathedral in St. Petersburg and one of the finest architectural monuments of the 19th century. Evening free (in 2010, no lunch included. A panoramic city tour in the afternoon instead of St. Isaac's Cathedral).
Day 3
Visiting: St. Petersburg - Helsinki
Visit the famous Palace area, Pushkin outside of St. Petersburg and tour Catherine's Palace. It is considered a pearl of Russian Baroque architecture and a must for history lovers. Lunch will be in traditional Russian style today. Transfer to the train departing at 4:32 pm. Arrive in Helsinki at 8.48 pm where the tour ends.
