Explore the four Nordic capitals as well as the amazing fjords region of Norway. Our capitals are all beautifully situated by the sea and offer a variety of architecture, culture and history. The two overnight cruises offer scenic views of the Stockholm archipelago and the Oslo Fjord. Enjoy unforgettable panoramic views of snowcapped mountains and cascading waterfalls. Day 1     Helsinki
Accommodation: Original Sokos Hotel Presidentti

Arrival in Helsinki according to your own schedule and transfer on your own to your hotel.

Your tour escort will meet you at 18.00 hrs in the hotel lobby for a short introduction, where you’ll also meet your fellow travelers.

Dinner on your own this evening in the Finnish capital.

Accommodation at Original Sokos Hotel Presidentti, located in the city center.

 
Day 2     Helsinki - Stockholm
Meals: Breakfast / Dinner

Breakfast at your hotel. Visit Helsinki in the morning during a 3 hours city sightseeing with local guide and private coach. Sights of interest are the Sibelius Monument and Park, the Senate Square and the Cathedral (no entrances included). Afternoon free for shopping or exploring this bustling city on the Baltic.

Transfer by private coach to the pier for embarkation on the Tallink Silja Line ferry for an overnight cruise to Stockholm. We recommend bringing an overnight bag for this cruise, to avoid having to carry suitcases to and from the cabin. Luggage handling between coach and luggage container on board is included.

Buffet dinner on board and accommodation in ocean view cabins with shower/WC.

 
Day 3     Stockholm

Meals: Breakfast

Enjoy your buffet breakfast on board while sailing slowly through the Stockholm archipelago past numerous small islands. Arrival in Stockholm at 10:00 in the morning and disembark. Luggage handling between luggage container and coach is included.

Transfer by private coach to your hotel.

Day free in Stockholm for exploring this beautiful city, often called the Venice of the North because of its many canals and waterways. We can recommend a guided boat tour on the canals or to visit some of the many interesting museums Stockholm has to offer.

Day 4     Stockholm

Breakfast at your hotel.

Discover Stockholm during a 3 hours city sightseeing with a local guide and private coach. Main sights of interest are the old town (Gamla Stan), the Royal Palace, the Parliament buildings, the Island of Djurgården and the City Hall with its famous golden and blue halls (no entrances included).

Afternoon free in Stockholm. We can recommend a visit to the impressive Vasa Museum or the popular ABBA museum. Dinner on your own.

Day 5     Stockholm - Oslo
Accommodation: Clarion Hotel the Hub
Meals: Breakfast

After breakfast at your hotel, transfer by private coach to Stockholm Central Station. Board the SJ train which will take you to Oslo, the capital of Norway. Unfortunately, no luggage handling is possible at the train stations. Duration: Approx. 6 hours.

Short walk from the railway station to your hotel in Oslo.

Dinner on your own this evening in the capital.

Day 6     Oslo - Lillehammer

After breakfast, explore Oslo on a 3 hours city sightseeing tour by private coach with a local guide and enjoy panoramic views of the Opera house, Karl Johans gate – Oslo’s main street, Old town Christiania, Akershus Castle and Fortress, and the Royal Palace. Picturesque ride through some of Oslo’s prettiest neighborhoods to the Vigeland Park (entrance free of charge) with its more than 200 sculptures. The tour includes entrance to the Fram Museum, telling the story of Norwegian polar exploration. In the afternoon, pleasant drive along the lake Mjøsa to the charming town of Lillehammer.

Day 7     Lillehammer - Geiranger

Breakfast at your hotel, before continuing your journey up the magnificent Gudbrands Valley to Lom, well known for its 14th century stave church. Discover the roads that twist and turn through one hairpin bend after another to Geiranger Skywalk - Mt. Dalsnibba - to experience a panoramic view of one of the most scenically outstanding fjord areas on the planet (weather permitting). Descend the road to the village of Geiranger, beautifully situated by the famous fjord.

Day 8     Geiranger - Skei

Enjoy breakfast, followed by an exclusive Fjord sightseeing cruise on the Geirangerfjord (duration 60 min.) The Geirangerfjord is one of the most famous fjords in the world and has been a part of the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2005. Surrounded by deep blue water and green valleys, you will also see magnificent waterfalls such as the "Seven Sisters" and the "Bridal Veil".

The tour continues by coach through the beautiful scenery of snowcapped mountains and lakes to Skei.

Day 9     Skei - Balestrand - Flam - Stalheim

Breakfast at your hotel and scenic drive to Balestrand, a charming village situated by the fabulous Sognefjord. You’ll discover more of the majestic Sognefjord on a fjord cruise from Balestrand to Flåm. Surrounded by steep valley sides and snow-covered peaks, thundering waterfalls and picturesque villages, this area has been judged one of the most beautiful fjord landscapes in the world and is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. In Flåm board the train to Myrdal, for an excursion on the spectacular Flåm Railway. Arrival in Voss and transfer to Stalheim.

Day 10     Stalheim - Bergen

After breakfast at your hotel, today’s excursion will take you to Bergen.

Enjoy a 2 hours city sightseeing tour of Bergen with a local guide, including a visit to the popular Fish and Flower Market, the famous Bryggen Harbor with its gabled packhouses, and the old Hanseatic Quarter. After the city tour, you’ll go on a return ride on the Bergen Funicular to the top of Mount Fløien, offering panoramic views over the fjords and mountains surrounding the city of Bergen. Return to Stalheim in the afternoon.

Day 11     Stalheim - Oslo

Following breakfast at your hotel, your journey continues by coach, crossing the Hardanger fjord bridge and the wild mountain plateau of Hardanger. A highlight of this trip will certainly be the highest and most famous waterfall in Norway, Vøringsfossen, with a vertical drop of 180 m. Continue through the beautiful valley of Hallingdal to Oslo.

Day 12     Oslo - Copenhagen
Meals: Breakfast / Dinner

Buffet breakfast at your hotel.

Morning free in Oslo. We suggest taking a stroll through the new central city district Bjørvika and walk between Oslo’s latest architectural additions; the Deichman Library and Munch Museum.

Afternoon transfer by private coach to Go Nordic Cruiseline’s terminal for your overnight cruise to Copenhagen, departing at approx. 16.00 hrs.

We recommend bringing an overnight bag for this cruise, to avoid having to carry suitcases to and from the cabin. Luggage can easily be stored in a luggage container before boarding (coach will stop right by the container).

Enjoy your cruise gently southward along the Oslo Fjord towards Denmark.

Day 13     Copenhagen

Scandinavian buffet breakfast is being served on board as you sail towards Copenhagen with arrival in the Danish capital at 10.00 hrs. Transfer by private coach to your hotel in the city center.

Afternoon free and dinner on your own in Copenhagen.

We can recommend a walking tour down the popular pedestrian shopping street – Strøget to the charming Nyhavn quarter and maybe go on a sightseeing cruise on the canals. You might also be interested in visiting the Tivoli Gardens (activities and entrances not included).
