Cruise on Norway’s most famous fjords and enjoy unforgettable panoramic views of snowcapped mountains and cascading waterfalls on this wonderful tour to western Norway. Highlights include Oslo – the capital - and Bergen, famous for the Hanseatic quarter, harbor and fish market, cruises on the Geiranger- and Sogne fjords, both registered on the UNESCO list, as well as a trip on the spectacular Flåm Railway.

Day 1     Oslo
Accommodation: Clarion Hotel the Hub

Arrival in Oslo according to your own schedule and transfer on your own to your hotel. Oslo, the capital, is situated at the head of the Oslo Fjord. We recommend a stroll along the harbor, Aker Brygge, with numerous restaurants,sightseeing boats offering guided tours on the Oslofjord, etc.

Your tour escort will meet you at 6.00pm in the hotel lobby for a short introduction, where you’ll also meet your fellow travelers.

Dinner on your own this evening in the capital.

Day 2     Oslo - Lillehammer
Accommodation: Home Hotel Hammer
Meals: Breakfast / Dinner

After breakfast, explore Oslo on a 3 hours city sightseeing tour by private coach with a local guide and enjoy panoramic views of the Opera house, Karl Johans gate – Oslo’s main street, Old town Christiania, Akershus Castle and Fortress, and the Royal Palace. Picturesque ride through some of Oslo’s prettiest neighborhoods to the Vigeland Park (entrance free of charge) with its more than 200 sculptures. The tour includes entrance to the Fram Museum,telling the story of Norwegian polar exploration.

In the afternoon, pleasant drive along the lake Mjøsa to the charming town of Lillehammer.

Day 3     Lillehammer - Lom - Geiranger

Breakfast at your hotel, before continuing your journey up the magnificent Gudbrands Valley to Lom, well known for its 14th century stave church. Discover the roads that twist and turn through one hairpin bend after another to Geiranger Skywalk - Mt. Dalsnibba - to experience a panoramic view of one of the most scenically outstanding fjord areas on the planet (weather permitting). Descend the road to the village of Geiranger, beautifully situated by the famous fjord.

Day 4     Geiranger - Skei
Meals: Breakfast / Dinner

Enjoy breakfast, followed by an exclusive Fjord sightseeing cruise on the Geirangerfjord (duration 60 min.) The Geirangerfjord is one of the most famous fjords in the world and has been a part of the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2005. Surrounded by deep blue water and green valleys, you will also see magnificent waterfalls such as the

Seven Sisters and the Bridal Veil.

The tour continues by coach through the beautiful scenery of snowcapped mountains and lakes to Skei.

Day 5     Skei - Balestrand - Flam - Stalheim
Accommodation: Stalheim Hotel

Breakfast at your hotel and scenic drive to Balestrand, a charming village situated by the fabulous Sognefjord. You’ll discover more of the majestic Sognefjord on a fjord cruise from Balestrand to Flåm. Surrounded by steep valley sides and snow-covered peaks, thundering waterfalls and picturesque villages, this area has been judged one of the most

beautiful fjord landscapes in the world and is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. In Flåm board the train to Myrdal,for an excursion on the spectacular Flåm Railway. Arrival in Voss and transfer to Stalheim.

Day 6     Stalheim - Bergen
Accommodation: Stalheim Hotel

After breakfast at your hotel, today’s excursion will take you to Bergen.

Enjoy a 2 hours city sightseeing tour of Bergen with a local guide, including a visit to the popular Fish and FlowerMarket, the famous Bryggen Harbor with its gabled packhouses, and the old Hanseatic Quarter. After the city tour, you’ll go on a return ride on the Bergen Funicular to the top of Mount Fløien, offering panoramic views over the fjords and mountains surrounding the city of Bergen. Return to Stalheim in the afternoon.

Day 7     Stalheim - Hardanger Region - Oslo
Accommodation: Thon Hotel Bristol
Meals: Breakfast

Following breakfast at your hotel, your journey continues by coach, crossing the Hardanger fjord bridge and the wild mountain plateau of Hardanger. A highlight of this trip will certainly be the highest and most famous waterfall in Norway, Vøringsfossen, with a vertical drop of 180 m. Continue through the beautiful valley of Hallingdal to Oslo.

Day 8     Oslo

Buffet breakfast at your hotel.

Depending on your own schedule, you might want to take a stroll through new central city district Bjørvika and walkbetween Oslo’s latest architectural additions; the Deichman Library and Munch Museum.

Transfer on your own to Oslo Airport - Gardermoen - in connection with your flight home.
