The MS Alemannia, originally built in 1991 has since gone through consistent updates and renovations, the most recent in 2013. She features 92 cabins for a maximum of 184 passengers spread over 2 decks. The low deck cabins are a comfortable 12 sq m (130 sq ft) with 2 portholes that cannot open. The upper deck cabins are slightly larger (12.8 sq m = 140 sq ft) with big picture windows that can be partially opened to allow for a lovely breeze of fresh air.Two JR suites are double the size (256 sq ft). All cabins feature two twin size beds, one of which converts into a sofa by day, a table/chair/vanity mirror, air conditioning, TV’s and private bathrooms with showers. Breakfasts and lunches are served buffet style while dinners are sit down, 4 course affairs. A young and enthusiastic European crew of 38 and a multi lingual Cruise manager provide excellent service! On board currency is the Euro.
