Itinerary

 
Day 1     Bergen
Accommodation: Radisson Blu Royal
Meals: Dinner

Arrived in Bergen at own arrangement and check in to your hotel in

the city center. At 7.00pm meet with tour leader in the hotel lobby for a

welcome dinner with 3 courses menu at the hotel restaurant. During

the dinner you will get introduction to the tours and your fellow traveller.

Accomodation including breakfast at Radisson Blu Royal Bergen,

superbly loated next to the famous Bryggen and local reastaurants

 
Day 2     Bergen
Accommodation: Radisson Blu Royal
Meals: Breakfast

After breakfast at the hotel, meet with your tour leader and start a short introduction tour of Bergen by foot including highlights such as the famous Fish and Flower Market, the charming old Bryggen Harbor with its gabled pack houses, the popular Hanseatic Quarter and the ancient Maria Church.You will also ride on the funicular to Mt. Fløien, for the best views of the city and fjords way below. Enjoy a leisurely afternoon in Bergen on your own.

 
Day 3     Bergen - Myrdal - Skei I Joelster - Flam
Accommodation: Thon Hotel Jolster
Meals: Breakfast / Dinner

Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Meet with your tour leader and

coach and drive to Voss town to board the train for a ride on the beautiful Bergen Railway to the mountain station of Myrdal. From Myrdal ride on the amazing FlĂĄm Railway a masterpiece of

engineering descending 2.838 feet in less than one hour. The descent

to the fjord side village of FlĂĄm offers opportunities for photo shots of

exciting waterfalls and mountain scenery. Lunch on own.

From FlĂĄm embark the boat for an approx. 2 hours cruise along the

narrow Aurlands and Nærøy Fjords, both branches of the Sogn Fjord, the longest and deepest fjord in the world. Enjoy the spectacular scenery of cascading waterfalls, sheer mountain cliffs, snow-clad peaks, and a variety of wildlife. Disembark in Gudvangen, located at the head of the UNESCO-listed Nærøy Fjord, and continue by coach through the Lørdal tunnel, which is one of the longest tunnels in the world with its 24,5 km, and short ferry crossing from Fodnes to Mannheller. Pass Sogndal to Fjærland, passing under the Jostedal Glacier, the largest in Europe, to the village of Skei at the northern end of beautiful Lake Jølster. Arrive at the hotel late afternoon/early evening.

 
Day 4     Skei I Joelster - Briksdal - Geiranger
Accommodation: Union Hotel
Meals: Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner

Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Check out and drive toward the world

famous Briksdal Glacier. Continue the journey up to the glacier in open troll cars and finalize with a short walk to give you the best views of the stunning blue glacier. Proceed to Hellesylt by coach along a scenic view of the Nord Fjord. Lunch will be served in a nearby mountain restaurant facing the glacier before resumed the journey by coach to the picturesque village of Hellesylt, from where you embark the ferry for a 1 hour spectacular cruise on the UNESCO listed Geiranger fjord to see the most impressive of all the Norwegian fjords. Take in the amazing views of the Brudesløret (Bridal Veil) falls and the Knivsflå waterfalls, known as the Seven Sisters and Friaren (the Suitor). Disembark in Geiranger and drive up to your hotel, stunningly overlooking the Geiranger Fjord. Settle in before buffet dinner at the hotel. From the restaurant you have a lovely view of the fjord and mountains.

Day 5     Geiranger
Meals: Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner

Buffet breakfast at the hotel and enjoy a calm morning at the hotel. We warmly recommend a visit to the hotel´s pool and spa area and the vintage car collection. Leave the hotel at 10:00 and drive up the impressive Eagles Road as you enjoy magnificent views of Geiranger below. Short ferry crossing from Eidsdal to Linge, and continue along the national tourist road Trollstigen (Road of Trolls) with scenic route goes through west Norwegian nature at its most powerful, with a dizzying view of high and mighty mountainsides, deep fjords and fertile valleys. Enjoy lunch at local eatery over looking beautiful Isterdalen Valley. After lunch proceed by coach passing Romsdalsfjorden and Storfjorden en route to Ålesund.

Check in to your hotel before following your tour leader on a walking

tour through the charming buildings and unique Ålesund’s pedestrian

street full of interesting stories. Ă…lesund is built right out into the Atlantic Ocean at the centre of a group of islands. In 1905 it was devastated by fire but was rebuilt within 3 years in the fashionable style of the time, Art Nouveau.

This evening you will enjoy a farewell dinner in cozy local restaurant

close to your hotel. Accommodation including breakfast at Quality Hotel Ă…lesund or Scandic Parken Ă…lesund, modern hotel in central Ă…lesund.
