Uummannaq, Greenland

Uummannaq - almost at the top of the world, an exotic town surrounded by breathtaking nature with beautiful mountains and deep blue fiords with gigantic icebergs and where the local population still is depending upon fishing and hunting. In 1972 the famous well-preserved Greenlandic mummies were found just outside Uummannaq. An exhibition about the find can be seen at the town's museum.
