Santiago is the capital and biggest city of Chile with over 5,000,000 people.

Cultural Santiago

This half day tour includes admssion to the museum. The Chilean Museum of Pre-Columbian Art was opened in 1981 by the Familia Larraín Echeñique foundation, the owner of the collection that is exhibited, and the Municipality of Santiago. The collection consists of 3,000 pre-Columbian pieces, ceramics, textiles, paintings and sculptures showing the evolution of the American Man and his different cultures. The collection is divided by areas South Andean (Chile, Argentina, Brazil), Andean (Peru, Bolivia), Intermediate (Ecuador, Colombia), Mesoamerican (Mexico). Convent and Museum of San Francisco built between 1572 and 1628, showing a rich collection of colonial art, 54 pictures of grand proportions (180x290 cm), made specially for the corridors of the cloister and representing the life and miracles of Saint Francisco. These are considered the best Cuzquo painting sample of the continent. There is also a beautiful collection of locksmith the XVI, XVII and XVIII centuries which show the technical perfection of the Hispano-American locksmiths. We will also visit the Cousino Palace built between 1870 and 1878 by the French Paul Lathaud for a wealthy Chilean family. The palace dazzled the Santiago society of the time for its magnificence, as well as for the introduction of technical advances. Tthe first elevator made in Chile was installed here. The main materials of the building (iron coatings, parquet, grates, enameled stoneware and all the furniture) were brought from Europe, along with the craftsmen who installed them.

 
Craftsmen Town of Los Dominicos - Los Graneros Del Alba

This 3 1/2 tour takes you to the cozy Craftsmen Town Los Graneros del Alba, which is immersed in the Chilean colonial architecture of the 1800's. Goldsmiths and jewelers give texture to metals and precious stones. Clays and ceramics acquire special colors and beauty in the treatment of the mud furnaces. Fine leather goods, beautiful looms and wool of authentic indigenous traditions and varied objects from the Latin American colonial time can all be found here..

Isla Negra

This full day tour departs from the hotel. The trip is made through the del Sol Freeway, going along the coast of the Pacific Ocean through the resorts of San Antonio, city-port and supply center for all the coast to the south of Valparaiso. Cartagena is a beautiful place where the hills fall steep to the sea leading to a small warm beach and a bay. In this town-resort great and large old houses of fantastic style were built, one next to another. Las Cruces is an old resort that reflects the splendor of the beginning of the XX century. Isla Negra is the place where our poet and Literature Nobel Prize winner Pablo Neruda lived. You will take a tour to his tomb, his house and museum (closed on Monday), with his collection of large masks of prow and diverse nautical objects. El Quisco has a pedestrian promenade that goes along the whole beach and continues towards Algarrobo, one of the most beautiful and most visited resorts of the area. Located in a well covered road on whose hills elegant summer houses are located. Its sea is calm and all kinds of aquatic sports are practiced here. It is the host of the main nautical races of the coast. There is a yacht club and the Nautical Brotherhood of the Pacific in an artificial lagoon that shelters the greatest boats of the country. Located here is the rock Peña Blanca where, depending on the season of the year, the Humboldt penguin live.
