Cherbourg
CHERBOURG

Cherbourg is a beautiful maritime town on the coast of France.

Let yourself be overtaken by the exuberant daily activity of its fishing port and marina, right in the heart of town. Let yourself be guided along the made-up piers with their flood-lights following the rhythm of tides, and appreciate the very special atmosphere of a town open to the sea.

The Cherbourg-Ocetville's marina, with its 1350 slips, welcomes the yachtsmen 24 hours a day.

Gateway to the American continent during the transatlantic epic times, Cherbourg-Octeville has always attracted the cruise ships, and still does: from the Titanic to the Queen Mary 2, not to mention the France and the Queen Elisabeth. They have all stopped here at onc time.

Cherbourg is one of the few French ports able to host the Tall Ships Race, because of its unique infrastructure and its previous experience of nautical events. For almost 20 years, Cherbourg has been a key location for more than 50 of the most prestigious sailing events.
