Uummannaq

Almost at the top of the world, is the unique town of Uummannaq surrounded by breathtaking nature with beautiful mountains and deep blue fiords with gigantic icebergs and here the local population is still depending upon fishing and hunting.

In 1972 the famous well-preserved Greenlandic mummies were found just outside Uummannaq. An exhibition about the find can be seen at the town museum.

Ilulissat

A modern town north of the Polar Circle where traces of 4000 years old inuit settlements are still to be found and where some of the biggest icebergs in the world are to be seen.

Calving Glaciers & Gigantic Icebergs: Majestic Icebergs are situated in the fiord right outside the town and are experienced at close range on our Midnight Cruises or during full day excursions where we cruise close to the impressive glacier of Eqip.

Isolated Settlements: On other excursions we sail to small and remote settlements, where "the old world" and the Greenlandic hunters are still to be experienced.

Helicopter Excursion: Over the UNESCO designated Ilulissat Ice Fiord & its gigantic icebergs to the Ilulissat Glacier.

Kangerlussuaq

Overnight stay in Kangerlussuaq makes it possible to explore the unique arctic nature and wildlife with numerous reindeer and musk oxen.

Furthermore no other destination in Greenland offers this easy access to the Inland Ice Cap - here we drive by 4x4 vehicle directly to the amazing Inland Ice Cap.
