Itinerary

Day 1
Visiting: Klaipeda
Accomodation: Reval Inn

Arrival in Klaipeda and transfer to your hotel on your own. Check-in at the hotel.

Day 2
Visiting: Klaipeda - Priekule - Silute
Accomodation: Deims Hotel
Meals: Breakfast

Biking 35 miles.

9:00 a.m. information meeting at the hotel, where you will be greeted by our representative.

Cycling on countryside roads through Dituva allotment gardens and Pamarys Meadows to Silute. On the route you will cross 24-km long Klaipeda Canal, also referred to as King Vilhelm Canal, which was dug in the 19th century to link the Minija River in the Nemunas Delta with the Curonian Lagoon in Klaipeda. Arrival in Silute, check-in at the hotel.

Day 3
Visiting: Silute - Rusne Island
Accomodation: Deims Hotel

Biking 28 miles.

Free day for relaxation in Silute, the fifteenth largest Lithuanian city and regional centre, or making a return cycling trip to Rusne Island, the only such big island in Lithuania, located in the Nemunas River Delta Regional Park. Explore the ethnographic fishermans homestead a museum of Rusne, the old water pumping station a polder museum and the 19th century lighthouse in Uostadvaris Harbour.

Day 4
Visiting: Silute - Vente - Curonian Spit - Nida
Accomodation: Nerija Hotel

Biking 25 miles.

Cycling from the hotel to Vente Horn via Macikai, which is known for the museum of German writer Hermann Sudermann. In Vente Horn, you may visit the 19th century lighthouse and the Ornithological Station that retells their stories and offers an amazing view of the landscape and a glimpse of the shining sand dunes of the Curonian Spit.

In the afternoon departure by boat for crossing the Curonian Lagoon from Vente to Nida. Arrival in Nida, check-in at the hotel.

Day 5
Visiting: Nida - Curonian Spit
Accomodation: Nerija Hotel

Free day in Nida which is an old fishmens village on the Curonian Spit washed by the Baltic Sea from one side and the Curonian Lagoon from other side. Today Nida is the largest settlement of the town of Neringa and one of the most beautiful resorts in Lithuania. Cycling or walking along impressive sand dunes and visiting the most popular places of interest the Fishermans House, the summer house of famous German writer Thomas Mann, and the Amber Gallery.

Day 6
Visiting: Nida - Curonian Spit - Juodkrante - Klaipeda
Accomodation: Reval Inn
Meals: Breakfast

Biking 37 miles.

Cycling on an asphalt bike path through woods along the Curonian Spit to Klaipeda. Short stop beyond Pervalka for a walk on a wooden path to the Dead Dunes where you will discover a panoramic view of the Curonian Lagoon and the Baltic Sea. Moreover, you can see a colony of grey herons and cormorants near Juodkrante and the Hill of Witches, which houses a hundred fanciful and folksy wooden sculptures scattered along a forest path in Juodkrante village. Arrival in Klaipeda, where youll take a ferry to the Old Town. Check-in at the hotel.

Day 7
Visiting: Klaipeda - Palanga
Accomodation: Reval Inn
Meals: Breakfast

Biking 37 miles.

Cycling to Palanga resort and back along the newly established Lithuanian Seaside Cycle Route leading through Giruliai Forest and the Seaside Regional Park. On the route you may explore the Dutchmans Cap a 24-meter-high coastal cliff before the fishermens village of Karkle, Plaze Lake, Palanga Botanical Park and the Amber Museum, then stroll along J.Basanavicius car-free street featuring plenty of cafes, restaurants and a pier heading 470 meters into the Baltic Sea. Return to Klaipeda the same way back.

7:30 p.m. Meeting with our representative who will collect the rental bicycle.

Day 8
Visiting: Klaipeda
Meals: Breakfast

Arrangements end after breakfast.

Pre and post tour accomodations in Klaipeda available for $120 per person double occupancy, $112 per person single.

Rental of hybrid trekking bicycle equipped with 7-speed hub gears or 21-speed derailleur gears (optionally) and waterproof back pannier, and including bicycle delivery to/collection from the hotel in Klaipeda $110 net per person.
