Itinerary

Day 1
Visiting: Helsinki - St. Petersburg
Accomodation: Dostoevsky Hotel
Meals: Lunch

Depart Helsinki railway station at 7.23am on the Finnish train Sibelius for to St. Petersburg. Arrive at 2.15pm. Lunch at a local restaurant. A visit to Peter and Paul Fortress.

Day 2
Visiting: St. Petersburg
Accomodation: Dostoevsky Hotel
Meals: Breakfast

After breakfast, a tour of the Hermitage Museum featuring the Old Masters, State Rooms of the Winter Palace and Impressionists` Exhibition. Panoramic city tour featuring the major highlights such as the Admiralty, Palace Square etc. Evening free.

Day 3
Visiting: St. Petersburg - Moscow
Accomodation: Overnight Train
Meals: Breakfast/Lunch

After breakfast an excursion to Pushkin, one of the former Imperial summer residences and a visit to Catherine's Palace. Lunch in a traditional Russian style restaurant. Later, you will be transferred to the Railway Station for your overnight train to Moscow departing at 11:59 pm. You will have a First Class 2-berth sleeper compartment.

Day 4
Visiting: Moscow
Accomodation: Hilton Leningradskaja Hotel
Meals: Breakfast/Lunch

Arrive Moscow at 8:00 am and transfer to the hotel of your choice for check-in and breakfast. A city tour this morning features the highlights of Moscow including Red Square and the gorgeous St. Basil's Cathedral. Lunch will be at a typical Russian restaurant. In the afternoon, you will visit Tretyakov Art Gallery with its nearly 50,000 works of art featuring Russian masters from the 18th & 19th centuries. Overnight at Hilton Leningradskaja Hotel.

Day 5
Visiting: Moscow - Helsinki
Accomodation: Overnight Train
Meals: Breakfast/Lunch

Following breakfast, visit the Kremlin as well as one of the ancient Cathedrals in the center. After lunch in a local restaurant, visit the Church of Christ Our Savior which has five gold gilded cupolas. Evening free and then transfer to the Railway Station and depart Moscow by night train at 10.50 pm. There is a restaurant car on the train.

Day 6
Visiting: Helsinki

Arrive in Helsinki at 12.00noon where your arrangements end.
