Itinerary

Day 1
Visiting: Vilnius
Accomodation: Radisson Sas Astorija Hotel

Arrival in Vilnius - capital of Lithuania. Arrival transfer to Radisson SAS Astorija Hotel. Check-in at hotel. Afternoon at leisure. Welcome meeting at 8.00pm in the hotel lobby.

Day 2
Visiting: Vilnius - Trakai
Accomodation: Radisson Sas Astorija Hotel
Meals: Breakfast

Morning Vilnius sightseeing tour including visits to the medieval as well as modern sections of the city. See the grand Cathedral of Peter & Paul, the small church of St. Anna - a gem of Gothic architecture, as well the University of Vilnius. In the afternoon a tour to the medieval capital of Lithuania, Trakai on Galves Lake (27km). On this beautiful situated island in the middle of the lake there is the 14th century red brick castle which now houses the History Museum. Evening at leisure.

Day 3
Visiting: Vilnius - Riga
Accomodation: Radisson Hotel Elizabete
Meals: Breakfast/Lunch

After breakfast, depart by coach to Riga with stops at the Hill of Crosses, a hill with thousands of crosses, and the splendid 18th century Rundale Palace, the former summer residence of Duke of Kurland. Lunch in Rundale. Arrive in Riga and check into your hotel.

Day 4
Visiting: Riga
Accomodation: Radisson Hotel Elizabete
Meals: Breakfast

After breakfast a city tour of Riga. Riga's Old Town will delight you with the colorful, restored merchant's residences, the cozy beer cellars and cafes, historical monuments like the Dome Cathedral, St. Peter's Church, the Powder Tower and much more. View the masterpieces of early 20th century Art Nouveau architecture. Afternoon and evening at leisure.

Day 5
Visiting: Riga - Sigulda
Accomodation: Radisson Hotel Elizabete
Meals: Breakfast

After breakfast a tour to Sigulda often called the "Latvian Switzerland", because of its beautiful landscape. Visit the 13th century Knight's Castle, the mysterious Gutmana Cave linked to a romantic medieval love legend. Afternoon and evening at leisure.

Day 6
Visiting: Riga - Parnu - Tallinn
Accomodation: Nordic Hotel Forum
Meals: Breakfast/Lunch

After breakfast depart by coach to Tallinn. En route stop at the Etnographical Open - Air Museum in the outskirts of Riga to see traditional Latvian rural buildings, oldest dating from 17th century. View the Baltic Sea Coast, and brief sightseeing and lunch in Parnu. Arrive in Tallinn, check in at your hotel.

Day 7
Visiting: Tallinn
Accomodation: Nordic Hotel Forum
Meals: Breakfast

After breakfast, a Tallinn City Tour visits the medieval Upper and Lower town, Song Festival grounds and Pirita Olympic Yacht Center. In the afternoon, enjoy a tour to Kadriorg Palace and Park. The Kadriorg Palace and Park is a resplendent summer residence, built by Tsar Peter I in the 18th Century for his empress, Catherine. Italian architect Niccolo Michetti was flown in (business class) from Rome especially, to make sure that the Palace was the gleaming red Ferrari of stately homes - with plenty of baroque splendour, stuccoed ceilings and landscaped gardens all round.

Day 8
Visiting: Tallinn
Meals: Breakfast

The tour ends after breakfast with individual transfers.
