New Year´s Eve in Iceland is always a special celebration. On this unique night, the colourful firework light up the sky and the atmosphere becomes magical. Icelanders truly know how to celebrate with style!

Enjoy a Hosted Gourmet New Years Eve buffet at Hilton Reykjavík Nordica. View scenes from our amazing country brought to you in a display of film scenes along with powerful sound effects and music that embrace the audience while dining. The host of the evening will along with your big smiles and happy hearts create an evening to remember. Confetti table bombs and New Year’s Eve party hats on each table add to the fun. The award winning Chefs at VOX Restaurant emphasize on Nordic Cuisine with local ingredients straight from Icelandic farmers and greenhouses. Indulge yourself on many various starters, main dishes of Lamb, Reindeer, Turkey and Pork and exquisite desserts. Close to midnight we go to a popular viewing spot in Reykjavik for locals to enjoy fireworks over the city and light our own gold sparklers.

Iceland does not have the restrictions on fireworks that other countries have, so the whole population of the Reykjavík Capital Area (200,000) makes its own massive fireworks show all over the city by blasting off fireworks from their garden or some vantage point. But this is only the beginning. After midnight, the nightclubs and pubs are open for business, with dancing and celebrating going well into the morning.

Not only will you be able to enjoy this spectacular show, but also get a chance to relax in a high class spa and indulge yourself in Icelandic cuisine.

Itinerary

Arrive Reykjavik and individual transfer to your hotel.

The evening program:

19:30 Pre – drink in the pre function area.

Gourmet New Years Eve Buffet in the ballroom and the Four Seasons hosted dinner show

23:20 Pick up with busses. Transfer to a nice viewing point over Reykjavík to enjoy the fire works over the city.

00:30 Transfer back to the hotel with a drive through the city centre. Optional drop off in the centre for those who want to keep the night going

Today we suggest a tour to visit some of Iceland´s natural highlights, such as the Blue Lagoon or the Geysers.

Optional: Festive 4 course dinner a la VOX Restaurant.

The Gourmet chefs at VOX Restaurant bring you the taste of nature this evening like all year round in highly contemporary cuisine, based on local and Scandinavian ingredients.

Following breakfast, you will check out of the hotel and return to the airport on your own.
