Staying at the ice hotel is a must for the modern adventurer, an experience utterly unlike other hotel stays. Inside, the temperature is never colder than -5 degrees to -8 degrees celsius, regardless of how cold it may be outside. Unique rooms are decorated with ice art and sculptures. You sleep in a thermal sleeping bag on a special bed of snow and ice, on reindeer skins. Don't forget to visit the Ice Church, the Absolute Ice Bar, and the Ice Sauna!

The Ice Hotel is located in Jukkasjarvi, Lapland in northern Sweden. It is on the 68th parallel about 120 km south of the North Pole.

The Ice Hotel is completely made of ice. The architecture changes from year to year but the concept remains the same, ice, all ice.

Itinerary

Overnight flight on Scandinavia Airlines from Newark Airport to Stockholm.

Transfer on your own to your hotel. Express train, airport bus and taxi are available.

Stockholm is a city of contrasts - water and islands, history and innovation, small town and big city, short winter days and long, light summer nights - with a dazzling array of impressions. Thanks to the city's compact size, you can see and do most things in a short space of time. Your hotel is located in the famous Old Town.

Today you are flying from Stockholm to Kiruna. On arrival in Kiruna you will have a dogsled transfer clothed in warm clothes to the Ice Hotel. Enjoy a welcome drink in the Absolut Ice Bar and dinner at the nearby Inn.

Each bed is provided with a warm sleeping bag, bed set and reindeer skin as an insulated pad.

After warm lingonberry drink & breakfast and a sauna, you will go on a snowmobile safari.

Dinner at the Inn. Overnight in warm cottage.

Morning at leisure. Optional tours are available. A car transfer in the afternoon from Ice Hotel site to Kiruna Airport. A flight from Kiruna to Stockholm. Transfer on your own to the hotel.

After breakfast transfer on your own to the airport for your flight back to Newark Airport.
