Eastfjord

Fosshotel Austfirðir – is in the town of Fáskrúðsfjörður in the East coast of Iceland, known for it's magnificent nature and landscape. The hotel building has a long and interesting history. It was built in 1903 and used as a hospital for the French fishermen in Icelandic waters until 1939 when the house was disassembled and moved. In 2008 the National Heritage Society decided to rebuild the house in its original location. The hotel will include a restaurant, L'Abri and a museum.
