Iceland is situated in the North Atlantic ocean - a world beyond magic.

The first thing the Vikings saw centuries ago, when they arrived in South Iceland was the glacier Vatnajökull. Therefore they named the land, Iceland. Nevertheless, there is much more to learn about this fascinating country.

Iceland is a land of natural wonders:

Active volcanoes, vast lava fields, fertile valleys, hot springs, bubbling mud pools, mountains, waterfalls and of course glaciers.

Iceland is also the land of sagas and its history is long and captivating. Even today the Icelandic population is still very much influenced by the ancient viking culture. The language has hardly changed and parents continue to pass on the farthers name to their children to be used as surname.

Countryside

Experience beautiful South Iceland while staying in the green and fertile countryside at either Hotel Selfoss or Hotel Örk. Both are very fine hotels where our guests have access to outdoor geothermal swimming pools, hot pots and a steam house.

Included in the programme are the most famous highlights of South Iceland:

- The National Park of Thingvellir, a historic site

through centuries and a masterpiece of nature

with a scenic lake and rifts, which mark where

the continental plates of Europe & America meet.

- The majestic waterfall Gullfoss.

- The Geysir area with erupting hot springs.

Itinerary

Arrival to Keflavik Airport. Pick-up and transfer to your hotel for overnight.

Breakfast at the hotel.

In the morning time to visit Blue Lagoon (Transfer & Entrance fee are included.)

Noon pick-up from the Blue Lagoon by English speaking driver guide and via Reykjavik to the National Park of Thingvellir, the majestic waterfall Gullfoss and the famous Geysir area with erupting hot springs.

Breakfast at the hotel.

Day at leisure in the countryside for optional excursions.

Late afternoon pick-up and transfer to your hotel in Reykjavik.
