Induvidual arrival to Bodø.

Bodø & Salten is a paradise for nature and outdoor recreation enthusiasts. You can climb high mountains, hike in scenic national parks and go kayaking in azure blue seas. Coastal Steamer departure to Svolvær

This journey takes you over Vestfjorden to the Lofoten Islands.

Early evening arrival in Svolvær. Transfer on your own to your place for the night, taxis available at the pier.

With its 4800 inhabitants Svolvær is actually the largest «city» in Lofoten. A spectacular location in between the mountain and the sea and a rich urban life that is unexpected for a town of this size characterize Svolvær.

Unforgettable Svolvær is regarded as the gate to Lofoten. The coastal line, Hurtigruten, docks here daily and connects the place to the rest of the Norwegian coast. The city also has an airport with daily departures for Bodø and Oslo.

After breakfast, this is your day of leisure in Lofoten.

Explore the many scenic sights and maybe take part in one of the many fishing trips that are offered (not incl.). There are also many exciting places to visit, e.g. The Borg Vikingland, Vikten Glass Centre, Gallery Harr & Lofoten Museum (not incl.).After breakfast, this is your day of leisure in Lofoten.

Continue by bus to Sortland, change bus in Sortland. Onwards by bus over Sortland to Andenes.

Andenes is a village at the northern tip of the island Andøya at the coast of northern Norway .Andenes is the community center in Andøy municipality in the Vesterålen and Lofoten region.

Andenes has always been one of the largest fishing villages in Norway because of its closeness to the best fishing areas. Since 1988 Andenes has been the main center of European whale watching, as well as a field station and meeting point of whale researchers from different

countries.

Join us on a summer safari from May to September where midnight sun can be experienced from late May to late July. Or experience the whales in a wonderful winter light from October to April on one of our winter safaris. Whalesafari Andenes has over 30 years of experience in

whale watching and we do our utmost to give our customers a fantastic nature experience. We can offer experienced guides and crews, 100% whale guarantee, the shortest distance to the whales, comprehensive guided tour in our whale exhibition, exclusive souvenir shop,

restaurant and camping. Onboard you are served biscuits, coffee/tea and the opportunity to borrow a warm coverall. Onboard the M/S "Reine" we also serve soup and bread on the return trip (not provided on M/S "Maan Dolphin").

DURATION:

Normally a boat trip lasts between 3 and 5 hours. However, your travel plan must take into consideration that trips can be longer or shorter depending on factors like the whales' distance from shore, weather conditions, vessel etc. Trips with our vessel M/S "Reine" normally

last longer than with M/S "Maan Dolphin" due to slower transit speed.

WHALE GUARANTEE:

Our unique 100% whale guarantee means that if the boat does not find any cetaceans you can take a new trip for free (must be booked at our reception). Alternatively, you can choose to get your money back. In cases where whale watching is part of a travel package, the whale guarantee only applies to the whale watching itself and not other parts of the travel package.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

You must arrive at our center one hour and 45 minutes before the boat departure for check- in. One hour and 15 minutes before boat departure there will be a guided tour of the museum

(duration of about 45 minutes).

Your arrangements end after breakfast. Suggested flight to Alta where you may want to continue on our Taste of the North Cape or Taste of Sami Culture in Lapland.
