Meet the Santas Tour

Iceland Winter Package

5 Days / 3 locations in Iceland

The Icelanders love Christmas and we even have 13 Santa Clauses!! The Icelandic Yuletide Lads are the Icelanders version of Santa Claus. They are 13 in number, descendants of trolls but before Christmas they come down from the mountains to visit the children, sometimes wearing their best red and white suits.

For many years now the Icelandic Santas have been answering letters from children, leaving gifts in their shoes and bringing people presents at Christmas.

A visit to them in Dimmuborgir, Iceland, is an unforgettable experience for every child. Children of all ages get the opportunity to see a Santa in his natural environment and have their picture taken with him - everyone who visits the santas gets a Christmas greeting with the picture. A Santa will be by the entrance of his cave everyday from 3rd of December until Christmas from 13:00 -15:00.
