Itinerary

Check in at your hotel in Reykjavik and get yourself comfortable for your three nights stay. If you arrive early, you might have time for a half day or an evening excursion, so browse our tour selection and book ahead.

Gullfoss waterfall – Geysir hot springs – Fontana Steam baths – Thingvellir

Breakfast at your hotel. This amazing day tour takes you around the Golden Circle to see three of Iceland’s highlights: Gullfoss waterfall, Geysir geothermal area and Thingvellir National Park before heading to the Fontana Geothermal Baths. The original sauna was built in the 1920s and was little more than a shack with two compartments, built above the hot spring that bubbles and gurgles below the ground. Today, a modern complex welcomes you to relax in various hot tubs and steam baths naturally heated by Icelandic hot springs. It’s a relaxing and fun place for people of all ages. Before returning to Reykjavik, you will be offered some traditional sweet Icelandic rye bread, which is slow-baked in the natural hot springs (we recommend it with a thick slathering of fresh Icelandic butter).

Reykjavik Welcome card - The family park and petting zoo

The Reykjavik Welcome Card offers free entry to a great selection of museums and galleries, all swimming pools in Reykjavik and free unlimited travel by bus within the Reykjavik Capital Area. In addition, the card also gives you a free ferry trip to Videy Island and access to the popular Reykjavik family park and animal park, where children get the opportunity to interact with animals like sheep, horses, cattle, pigs and goats.
