Itinerary

 
Day 1     Riga
Accommodation: Baltpark Hotel

Arrival in Riga. Individual transfer to your hotel (not included). Check-in and optional dinner at the hotel.

7:00 p.m. welcome meeting at the hotel where you will be greeted by your tour guide.

 
Day 2     Riga - Parnu - Haapsalu
Accommodation: Saaremaa Thalasso Hotel Spa

Cycling 35 km, driving 260 km

9:00 a.m. transfer to Ikla (Estonia) where youll start bicycling on picturesque road along the Baltic Sea Coast through fishermens villages. Transfer to Pärnu, Estonian Summer Capital, known as a health resort since the first spa opened here in the 1830s. A further drive to Haapsalu, known for its Bishops Castle, curative mud baths and the longest railway station constructed to accommodate the arrival of the Russian royal familys train after 1852. Arrival in Haapsalu

 
Day 3     Haapsalu - Paldiski - Tallinn

Cycling 40 km, driving 100 km

Morning transfer outside the city, where start bicycling to Padise. Then transfer to Tallinn via Paldiski known as the former Soviet nuclear submarine base. En route you will stop in Keila-Joa to see the waterfall and the highest coastal cliffs in Estonia. Arrival in Tallinn

 
Day 4     Tallinn - Lahemaa
Accommodation: Sagadi Hotel

Biking 40 km, driving 90 km

9:00 a.m. a city tour of Tallinn, visiting the Old Town of Tallinn an example of Gothic architecture in the Baltic and Nordic countries. The tour includes Toompea Castle fortifications, the Dome Church (13th century), the Russian Orthodox Cathedral of Alexander Nevskij (19th century), Town Hall Square (15th century), the Old Guild, and St.Olaf's Church. In the afternoon transfer to one of Estonia's most popular nature reserves, Lahemaa National park; with its jagged coasts on the Gulf of Finland, vast forests, wetlands and many hiking and cycling trails. En route stop at Jagala waterfall, which is the highest one in Estonia. Arrival in Sagadi, check-in at the hotel, followed by a round cycling tour through the national park. En route visit Palmse manor house.

 
Day 5     Lahemaa - Tartu
Accommodation: Raadmoisa Hotel

Cycling 50 km, driving 150 km

Morning transfer towards Lake Peipus, the 4th largest lake in Europe shared by Estonia and Russia. Enjoy biking along the lake from Mustvee via Kalaste to Varnja. Transfer to bus for Tartu which is a famous university town where Estonia gained its statehood. Arrival in Tartu followed by a city tour around Old Town and its university founded in 1632.

 
Day 6     Tartu - Otepaa - Sigulda
Accommodation: Santa Hotel

Biking 55 km, driving 195 km

Transfer to Otepaa, a well known winter sports centre and lovely place with many lakes for spending summer holidays. Start bicycling along the National Cycle Route from Otepaa to Jogeveste with a stop in Sangaste, famous for its 19th century romantic castle built following the example of Windsor Palace. Finish cycling at a mausoleum of Barclay de Tolly and transfer to Latvia. Arrival in Sigulda, the most popular resort in Latvia, situated in the most picturesque part of the Gauja River valley with reddish sandstone forming steep rocks and caves on both banks of the river.

 
Day 7     Sigulda - Cesis - Riga
Accommodation: Baltpark Hotel

Biking 45 km, driving 45 km

Bicycling from Sigulda through the Gauja National Park to Ragana. En route you will see the 13th century Sigulda castle ruins and Turaida Castle of the Knights of the Sword, enjoy spectacular views of the Gauja River valley with Gutmana Cave, the largest one in Latvia. Next stop in Krimulda to explore the oldest church in Latvia (built in 1205). In the afternoon, transfer to Straupe for the final ride to Cesis, one of Latvias prettiest and oldest Hanseatic towns famous for its 13th century castle of the Order of Knights. Transfer back to Riga

 
Day 8     Riga
Meals: Breakfast

9:00 a.m. start with a city tour of Riga, exploring the medieval Hanseatic town, Riga castle, St. Peter`s Church, Dome Cathedral, and the Old Guild Houses.

End of the tour.
