Day 1     Tirana

Arrive Tirana, Tuesday

You will be met and transferred to your hotel. Then your time is free to begin exploring. Tonight, gather with your fellow travelers for a Welcome Dinner at the hotel. Overnight at Rogner Hotel or similar.

 
Day 2     Tirana
Meals: Breakfast

Tirana, Wednesday

A morning sightseeing tour shows you Skanderbeg Square; the Mosque of Et’hem Bey; the Clock Tower; the statue of G.K. Skanderbeg, Albania’s national hero; the Palace of Culture, built with Soviet assistance; and the National History Museum, with a mosaic on its facade portraying Albanian history. Your afternoon is free to discover the city at your own pace, shop, or relax. Overnight at the hotel.

 
Day 3     Kolasin
Meals: Breakfast / Dinner

Kolasin, Thursday

After breakfast, depart Tirana and travel to the town of Shkodra, a cultural center and one of Albania’s oldest cities. Drive by the ruins of Rozafa Castle, set on a hill high above the city, then cross the border into Montenegro. Visit to Moraca Monastery the largest medieval Orthodox monument in Montenegro built in 1252. Continue to Kolasin, the whole area is surrounded by the thick pine forest of the Bjelasica Mountain and is a popular skiing and air spa resort. Dinner and overnight in Kolasin. Overnight at Bianaca Resort & Spa or similar.

 
Day 4     Kolasin

Kolasin, Friday

Today trip to National Park Durmitor, Zabljak and River Tara canyon the deepest canyon in Europe. Lunch at local restaurant. Also visit today Biogradsko Lake maybe “the most romantic lake” located in the center of Biogradska Mountain. Overnight.

 
Day 5     Dubrovnik
Meals: Breakfast / Dinner

Dubrovnik, Saturday

See Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro, and Cetinje, the historical capital of the country, set at the foot of Mount Lovcen on your journey today. Stop and visit the Cetinje Museum, presenting the history of Montenegro. Then, drive down a spectacularly steep road to the Bay of Kotor, the deepest fjord in Southern Europe. Cross into Croatia head to Dubrovnik, set on the Adriatic. Overnight at Hotel Lacroma or similar.

 
Day 6     Dubrovnik
Meals: Breakfast

Dubrovnik, Sunday

This morning, a walking tour takes you through Old Dubrovnik. See the Rector’s Palace, Bell Tower Clock, Orlando’s Column, and Sponza Palace. Then on to view the Dominican Monastery and Franciscan Monastery with its Pharmacy, one of the oldest in the world. The rest of the day is at leisure to enjoy the city your way. Overnight.

 
Day 7     Split
Meals: Breakfast / Dinner

Split, Monday

Travel north along the spectacular Adriatic coast to Split. Take a sightseeing tour featuring the historic inner city, built around the Roman Emperor Diocletian’s Palace, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. Plus, see the remnants of Split’s Roman heritage, its Renaissance and Gothic structures, Jupiter’s Temple, the Peristyle, and Cathedral of St. Duje. Overnight at Atrium Hotel or similar.

 
Day 8     Trogir - Plitvice Lakes

Trogir and Plitvice Lakes, Tuesday

Head to Trogir, the center of artistic activities in Croatia. Scholars from all over the world gather here to study and paint. Next, travel to splendid Plitvice Lakes National Park. Then, have your camera at the ready as you take a walking tour around several of the lower lakes. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery of this natural wonder of 16 terraced lakes surrounded by lush vegetation and thickly wooded mountains. Overnight Jezero Hotel or similar.

 
Day 9     Opatija - Bled

Opatija, Postojna and Bled, Wednesday

Return to the coast and travel along the beautiful bay of Kvarner to its popular resort, Opatija. After some free time, journey north into Slovenia. Stop in Postojna, home to one of the largest caves in Europe. Tour this fantastic subterranean world by miniature electric train. Afterward, continue to Bled, with its spectacular setting in the Julian Alps. Overnight at Park Hotel or similar.

 
Day 10     Bled
Meals: Breakfast

Bled, Thursday

Bled is a lively, all-season resort. A morning sightseeing tour features the charming town and the lakeshore, and visits imposing Bled Castle, perched on a cliff high above the crystalline Alpine lake. The balance of the day is at leisure. You might want to browse through the shops, stroll along the lake, relax over a glass of Slovenian wine, or perhaps take an optional excursion, visiting the small island in the middle of the lake. Day 11     Ljubljana - Zagreb
Meals: Breakfast / Dinner

Ljubljana and Zagreb, Friday

Travel to Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. Visit the main attractions of the old city center, including the picturesque open-air Central Market, the Three Bridges, Baroque Town Hall and Robba’s Fountain. Then, on to Zagreb, the capital city of Croatia. Overnight at Westin Hotel or similar.

Zagreb, Saturday

This morning, enjoy many historic city highlights. Upper Town, St. Mark’s Church, St. Catherine’s Church, the Cathedral, the Parliament and the Government Palace are all on your agenda. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the winding streets of the old town or take an optional excursion to see the countryside. Overnight.

Depart Zagreb, Sunday
