Location

The Radisson SAS Hotel is centrally located in downtown Tromsø, just 4 kilometres from the airport. Tromsø is the largest city in the world, north of the Arctic Circle and the starting point for many famous expeditions into the Arctic.

The Tromsø Museum has several areas devoted to the Lapps and other special phenomena such as the Northern Lights. At the science museum, Polaria you can find live seals and other interesting exhibits.

The city is ideally located for excursions by boat into the fjords and around the nearby islands. Sea-fishing trips are also popular, as are bird-watching safaris by boat to some of the more remote and uninhabited islands.

Tromsø is also well stocked with great stores selling a variety of high-quality handicrafts, knitwear, jewellery, glass and ceramics. Tromsø is also well endowed with golf courses and teeing off in the midnight sun is quite popular in the summer.
